Managed Learning Services - Content Design & DevelopmentContent Design & Development
All clients have different learning and development needs, and while the majority of these can be met by instructor led training and standard courseware, there is often a need to develop individual learning preferences. These may be driven by application requirement, individual responsibility or organisation standards. Whatever the requirement, Steria Learning Services will design and develop content that best suits the client’s individual requirements.
Steria Learning Services has over 25 years experience in developing courses and courseware for a wide range of applications and business workflow processes. The learning media used is as follows:
Hard Copy Manuals: A wide range of hard copy manuals are used for training delivery, examples of materials used by Steria Learning Services include:
Standard technical manuals, bespoke technical manuals, standard desk top (Microsoft and other applications), tailored desk top manuals, bespoke applications manuals (specific customer applications).
Quick Reference Guides In a large number of training projects the supply of full training manuals in hard copy to all delegates is not economic or cannot be justified, particularly when the material is made available on the customer Intranet. Delegates may still require the ‘basic information’ supplied as a Quick Reference Guide (QRG). The QRG’s can be supplied as simple cards, laminated sheets or as credit card sized plastic material.
On-line Course Material A popular method of supplying course material is to produce on-line reference guides, uploaded on to the client’s intranet. This reduces the need for hard copy manuals and ensures that the information is always current. The on-line reference material is produced as topic look up with navigation so that users can look at the whole document or single topics as required. Also included are Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and self test quizzes. Computer Based Training and e-Learning Should the client prefer, Steria can also provide both CBT and e-learning content development service. |
